Bill Flanagan's new novel is FIFTY IN REVERSE (September 2020) and his new film is the documentary JIMMY CARTER: ROCK & ROLL PRESIDENT (August 2020). He produced the Audible best-seller BREAKSHOT: JAMES TAYLOR (2020). Flanagan's previous novels are A&R (2000)​,​ NEW BEDLAM (2008) and EVENING'S EMPIRE (2010). His other books are U2 AT THE END OF THE WORLD (1995)​,​ WRITTEN IN MY SOUL (1986) and LAST OF THE MOE HAIRCUTS (1986). Flanagan has contributed essays to CBS SUNDAY MORNING since 2000. He hosts the Sirius XM Radio shows NORTHERN SONGS and FLANAGAN'S WAKE. He created and produced the TV series VH1 STORYTELLERS and CMT CROSSROADS​,​ among many others. He has written for Rolling Stone​,​ The New York Times​,​ Esquire​,​ Spy​,​ Men's Journal​,​ Vanity Fair​,​ GQ​,​ Commonweal​,​ The New Yorker​,​ The Village Voice and many other publications.
